Description

To actively contribute to the Safety, Quality, and Food Safety aspects of the farm. The role involves demonstrating a passion for agriculture and hydroponics, with a primary responsibility to positively impact safety culture, enhance employee care, and reduce the frequency of loss time injuries through a behaviour-based systems approach.

Key Result Areas:

  • Participate in random inspections to identify hazards and risks, informing the Production team\QHSE Lead, and implementing corrective measures to prevent accidents and injuries, fostering a safer work environment.
  • Monitor critical limits daily, ensuring compliance with safety standards and contributing to a secure operational setting.
  • Calibrate and ensure all portable electrical equipment used by the safety team is in working condition, maintaining a reliable safety infrastructure.
  • Verify equipment and validate SOP adherence, ensuring the highest safety standards are consistently met.
  • Conduct inspections of emergency exits, fire drills, and first aid boxes, raising observations for necessary actions, enhancing emergency preparedness and workplace safety.
  • Promptly raise incident reports when necessary, facilitating swift responses to potential safety issues.
  • Support QHSE Lead in safety campaigns, cascades, and internal safety campaigns, actively contributing to improved OHS performance and risk reduction. Moreover, conduct trainings on needs raised in non-conformance reports.
  • Raise non-conformance reports and follow up on corrective actions, ensuring continuous improvement in quality standards.
  • Conduct daily checks to ensure product specification and quality at different production stages are met, contributing to consistent product excellence.
  • Ensure product packaging based on customer specifications through daily random sampling, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Participate in customer complaint analysis, identifying areas for improvement and enhancing overall product quality.

Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience:

Education Qualification:

  • Higher Secondary School Certificate or equivalent qualification.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position.

Skills

  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
